Antisocial behaviour leads to temporary closure of Darnhill library

Darnhill library is currently closed until further notice (as of Wednesday 26 June 2019) due to antisocial behaviour.

Councillor Janet Emsley, cabinet member for libraries, said: “Darnhill library is closed on a temporary basis following some incidents of antisocial behaviour, which are currently under investigation by Greater Manchester Police.

“We hope to reopen the library as soon as possible and we will keep customers fully updated.”

The nearest available library branch to Darnhill is Heywood, which is open six days a week, and books due for return can be dropped off at any library in the borough.
