The Milnrow Balti is among the Rochdale restaurants up for an award
Rochdale’s flavoursome culinary scene has been well-represented in the upcoming Manchester Curry Awards 2024, with several local restaurants making it to the list of finalists in various categories.
The awards, organised by Oceanic Consulting and powered by Oceanic Awards, celebrate the excellence of curry restaurants, takeaways, and personalities across Greater Manchester, highlighting the vital role they play in the region's culture and economy.
Rochdale’s talent includes The True Taste of India and AMOR who are both listed as finalists for the Restaurant Manager of the Year award.
Rochdale has made a strong showing, with several local establishments in the running for prestigious awards. In the category of Curry Restaurant of the Year (Rochdale), The True Taste Of India, AMOR, Pavilion Indian, Copper Pot, Norden Indian Kitchen, Mezbaan Restaurant, Bombay Brew, and The Milnrow Balti Restaurant have all been shortlisted, showcasing the town's rich and diverse curry offerings.
The event will culminate in a grand ceremony on 30 September, where the winners will be announced.
A spokesperson for the Manchester Curry Awards 2024 expressed pride in the growth of the awards and the recognition of Manchester’s contribution to the British curry scene. He said: “We felt Manchester was worth highlighting as it’s done so much for modern British curry.
"We want to congratulate all our finalists and wish them the best of luck."
The awards ceremony promises to be a night of celebration for Rochdale’s culinary stars, and the local community will be eagerly watching to see if their favourite restaurants take home top honours.
