The Lighthouse Project is a drop-in Community Centre based in the centre of Middleton.
We are open to the general public, all ages and all backgrounds, and our vision is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where people can meet together, find support and access opportunitites that are caring, social and educational.
The Lighthouse Project is a community work of Inspire Middleton which is a local registered charity, and as such we are funded through the individual gifts and donations from supporters, and applying for grants towards the work that we undertake.
Much of our work is undertaken by volunteers who give their time and experience free of charge. If you would like to become a volunteer and help us to support people then get in touch.
Our work is fully inclusive and we reach out and support everyone who has need regardless of who they are.
Our values & motivation come from our Christian commitment, and this is what leads us to care for all people irrespective of their own background and belief, or even if they have none. Our values are outworked through:
- Caring and loving.
- Encouraging and supporting
- Accepting and affirming
- Having a total belief in everyone's ability to achieve
- Reaching out to everyone, seeing all as equal
