Intro
INTRODUCTION
ROCHDALE JUNIOR NETBALL CLUB was established in 1992 with 2 coaches and 1 team of girls. The first team was formed to represent Rochdale in the Greater Manchester Youth Games. Every year since then we have carried out trials for under 10's and 11's and since 2005 under 9's and the club has now expanded to over 120 members. The intake is from Heywood, Middleton, Milnrow and Littleborough as well as Rocdale, in fact our doors are open to anyone within the Greater Manchester area.
Teams range from under 9's to under 20's. We have 12 teams playing in the Greater Manchester League and the under 15's, 16's, 18's, 19's and 20's teams play in the Bury and Rochdale ladies leagues.
Many of our players have made their mark in the Netball Arena in and around Greater Manchester along with current players in the Rochdale League. Carli North (under 20's) Toured New Zealend with the British Collegues Team last summer - well done Carli!
Several of the under 16, 18 and 19 girls have been on umpiring and coaching courses hopefully to encourage them with the participationin these areas and to enhance their sports education, this being our investment for the future.
The club is commited to the All England Action Planning Scheme (CAPS) which is an accredited scheme to monitor and increase player, coach, umpire and club development. We have reently achieved our Silver Caps, which is rewarded by various incentives e.g. access to England Player visits to inspire players.

The club is committed to increasing members and improving the standards in all areas including playing, coaching, umpiring and administration.
