Rochdale Junior Badminton Club provides opportunities for young people between the ages of 7 and 18 to receive coaching and competition in the local Greater Manchester leagues and tournaments.
All coaching is led by qualified coaches who are members of Badminton England's Coaches Register and have been CRB checked for their suitability for working with young people.
The club has been in existence for over 40 years with its founding members Bob Heaton and Rodney Stanley still heading up the helm having coached numerous England & County players.
The club is presently applying for Club Future status and Sport England's Clubmark, which is awarded to clubs by Badminton England when the club is able to demonstrate that it meets Badminton England's criteria as to playing programme; safeguarding and protecting children; sports equity and ethics and club management. Clubmark is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in Badminton.
Training/coaching sessions take place every Saturday at 2pm - 3.45pm for beginners, 3:15pm - 5pm for competent players at Falinge Park High School in Rochdale.
