Local Election 2022

Rina  Paolucci

Rina Paolucci

Conservative Party
Wardle, Shore & West Littleborough Ward

Born to Italian immigrants invited to come to the UK, in the 50's, to work in the cotton mills including Fothergill & Harveys, I was brought up to work hard, appreciate the value of money and to help others. Perhaps this influenced my desire to help people and what led to me standing for election 8 years ago.

I feel very privileged to represent the ward of Wardle, Shore and West Littleborough and to be in a position to influence change and get the best for our community. If re-elected, I will continue to work hard and do everything I can to make a difference.  I will continue to be the voice of residents and businesses and raise the issues and concerns that are important to you and your family and that impact our wonderful villages and surroundings.

Over the last four years I have worked very closely with Ashley Dearnley and John Taylor. Together we make a strong team with a unique blend of experience, local knowledge and enthusiasm.

We will always listen to what you say, especially when you tell us what is important to you and we will always listen to your opinions about the future off our villages too.

You have told us that your five priorities are;

  • No clean air charging zone
  • Protecting our villages
  • No new developments on the greenbelt
  • Improving road safety
  • Tackling the cost of living

The three of us will fight to achieve all of those priorities until they become our reality.

We believe working with our community is of paramount importance and we are pleased to support groups such as Wardle Football Club, Friends of Barkers Wood, Wardle Bowling Club, Wardle Society, Littleborough Civic Trust and Littleborough Events and Associations Forum (LEAF).

Furthermore, we will ensure every resident and business owner has appropriate access to council services, that our ward receives a fair share of public services and that public money is spent wisely.
