Following a 25 year career as a primary school teacher, Jennifer ran a successful retail business for seven years before a move into catering and hospitality. Married with two grown up children she is standing to challenge Labour’s grip on the Heywood Township. “This is a genuine two horse race. It’s a straight up fight between the Lib Dems vs Labour. Anyone who usually votes Labour or has had enough of them needs to get behind the Lib Dems and send a powerful message back to the town hall. Lend us your votes on May 5th!” Her priorities are-
Accountable politics- being a councillor who is available, listening and proactive.
Get the basics right- making sure North Heywood gets it’s fair share of funding for potholes, bins, cleansing, footpath repairs and other council services.
Consult properly- residents are fed up with Labour “consulting” with Heywood residents. But not really- the Heywood market plans, the GMSF, the CAZ tax- all Labour projects have not listened to people's thoughts and opinions. “Remember- your vote really counts in North Heywood. Send a message to Labour and make 3 votes for the Liberal Democrats.”
