Safina Kauser, now works for the NHS having graduated from University of Salford University some 20 years ago, with a degree in fashion design. As a mum to daughters she understands the challenges of modern parenting and all that young women face growing up in modern society.
“Im proud to be standing for the Liberal Democrats this year.” Said Safina. “I believe we can make a real impact on people’s lives in the borough. As a lifelong resident of Rochdale, I can recall many changes over the years- and not always for the better. I want to make sure that your children and mine grow up in a safer society that recognises difference and celebrates it. There’s much that needs attention and reforming due to massive neglect by Labour over the past decade. We need to rebuild confidence in the town and help small businesses start, develop and grow. We need to invest in our youth services and help young people achieve their potential by building a safe environment to live, learn and thrive. Finally, I pledge to be the councillor I want to see- to be available, approachable and confidential and to act as an advocate to deliver the services that residents deserve.”
