It is an honour to have been selected to stand as your Conservative Candidate in South Middleton Ward this year.
I have spent many years involved in local politics and the Conservative Party and I know the difference a good councillor can make to an area.
I am a passionate believer in the good of local people and politics and have built a reputation for not being afraid of getting stuck in and join resident organisations and groups to help them achieve their aims and objectives.
My pledges to you are simple and achievable and form the basis of how I want to work with you over the coming months and years. I will:
- Keep in touch with local news and updates via regular newsletters and social media
- Work with residents and Friends groups to safeguard and improve parks and green spaces
- Regularly complete litter picks to help keep streets free of rubbish
- Regularly report blocked drains, potholes, fly tipping and faulty street lights for urgent attention
- Represent residents with concerns regarding planning applications and school placements
- Lobby for surface improvements on local roads
- Work with local housing associations to press for housing improvements
- Work with the police & the Council to deal with anti-social behaviour
