St John’s RC Primary School Jubilee Party

Diamond Jubilee Party – 1 June
Our party to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee was a great event. The rain stayed away and the sun came out to greet our children and the Royal Family. After the Queen gave a speech, she declared the party open and joined the rest of the Royal Family on the balcony.
Despite children chanting “kiss, kiss”, Prince William and Kate were in a bashful mood and on this occasion declined the offer to please their audience.

Road Safety:
Could parents who drive cars be very careful when parking outside the school and do not obstruct the pavements. We have had incidences where children have had to walk in the road because the pavement is blocked by parked cars.
Attendance:
If you are late getting up in the morning it is not an excuse keep the children away from school. We would rather the children be late than miss a day of school so please bring them as soon as they have eaten breakfast.
Dinner money:
Please remember that dinner money must be paid on a weekly basis. If two weeks have passed without payment you may be asked to provide packed lunches.
