Rochdale’s young sporting stars compete at Greater Manchester School Games

Teams from Norden Community Primary, Castleton Primary, St James CE, Smithy Bridge, St Edwards, Broadfield Primary, Falinge Park, Wardle Academy, Redwood, Beech House, Kingsway Park, and Siddal Moor were amongst the winners at Sport City’s Indoor Athletics Arena at the 2015 Greater Manchester Sainsbury’s Winter School Games.

A number of world class facilities were utilised for the games, including the Manchester Aquatics Centre, National Cycling Centre and National Squash Centre where competitions took place.

There were competitions taking place in athletics, squash, boccia, inclusive tennis, gymnastics, table tennis, volleyball, swimming, water polo, rugby union, lacrosse, baasketball and hockey.
