Aston Buckley from Beech House School, developed ‘Aston’s Bakes and Cakes’
Aston Buckley from Beech House School, spurred on by the ‘Tenner’ initiative, which provides young people with £10 to encourage young entrepreneurs, developed ‘Aston’s Bakes and Cakes’.
Aston immediately doubled his money with sponsorship from Asda Rochdale and asked a Farmer's Market at Ashton-u-Lyne for support in providing a stall – they gladly provided two.
His company produced healthy organic savouries and sweet produce, selling to family and friends, then wisely reinvesting for the stall finale.
Aston’s hard work and endeavours raised a fantastic £203.65 for CICRA, the charity for children with Crohn’s Disease and Colitis, of which Aston is a sufferer.
