Tickets and wristbands for our forthcoming Music Concert are now available from school. The concert takes place on the 20 March from 6pm until 8pm and tickets are available from Ms Williams or Mr De Courcey in the CEPA Office at breaktimes, lunchtimes or after school. Seating is limited and is taken on a 'first come, first served' basis. Book now to avoid disappointment! The show will feature a range of performances from the various groups, bands and individuals across our school and the local community. Pupils wristbands can be purchased from Mrs Williams at lunchtimes.
There are still places left for our 'Italian Cookery for Beginners' workshop at the end of March. This event is for adults or parents and places can be booked by contacting Simon De Courcey in school. We hope you can join us for what should be a great event.
Letters for our CALL visits to Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Leeds City Museum have now been issued to learners and the two visits will take place on Tuesday the 22nd of May for F Class Learners and Tuesday 29 May for K Class Learners. The visit is for the whole Year 7 and we look forward to receiving your replies and money shortly. Please contact Mr De Courcey or Ms Gott for more details.
Letters for our CEPA Visit (11 & 12 May) to London have now been issued to students. The two day visit features a trip to major museums, an evening at the theatre to see 'The Woman in Black' on stage and a meal at the Treetop Cafe. The subsequent day features a visit to Warner Bros. Studio in London to see the major 'Making of Harry Potter' exhibition. Places are limited and secured on a 'first come, first served' basis. Please see Mr De Courcey for more details.
Parents of year 8 pupils will be receiving a letter in the next few days inviting them and their child to an Options meeting with tutors and a member of the senior team. This is an important meeting to discuss what the pupils hope to do in the future and to ensure that they have made choices that are right for them.
Year 11 BTEC Drama practical assessments will be completed on Wednesday 21 March during lessons 3 and 4.
The second round of Academic Reviews are being held on Thursday 22 March (and Thursday 29 Marc h), between 3pm and 5pm. These are important meetings to discuss your child’s work and progress. Letters are being posted to parents or hand delivered by pupils so please look out for them. If there is a problem with the meeting please contact your child’s tutor at school.
Congratulations go to Courtney Ashurst, Annapurnima Vimalkumar and Lee Connor who are our winners of ‘The Woman In Black’ Theatre Competition this week. Each received a certificate and a chocolate prize. Well done to all the students who submitted and entry as the standard was very high. THANK YOU.
