Professional displays from Fieldhouse on last weekend

Date published: 14 September 2009

The final weekend of the Armstrongs Office Furniture Saddleworth and District Cricket League season saw champions Bamford Fieldhouse put in two professional displays to win their last two games.

Fieldhouse had effectively won the title weeks ago but they continued to compete right up to the final ball being bowled yesterday as they secured a four wicket win over Greenfield on Saturday and then a 122 run victory against Moorside.

Despite losing to Shaw yesterday, Uppermill leapfrogged neighbours Saddleworth to finish runners-up behind Fieldhouse.
