Kirkholt FC fundraiser

Date published: 27 July 2015

A fundraising event to raise money for the newly formed Kirkholt FC has raised £380 for the new team.

Money was raised through a number of activities including a bouncy castle, raffles, face painting and glitter tattoos during the event on Saturday (25 July).

Tracy Rose, who helped out at the event, said: “It was a really lovely day and the weather really helped. I don’t think I have ever seen Kirkholt Social Club as busy.”

The event started at Balderstone Park, where the new team played their first game against Balderstone FC, and then became a family fun day at the social club and included music, food and entertainment.

Tracy added: “It was also about raising the profile of the area and the club a bit more and to get things going again in the local area. It was a really good day.”
