Mayfield play British Police
Date published: 29 January 2015
Mayfield, Niall Bradley
Mayfield have an unusual Sunday fixture this week as they begin their campaign in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup.
Their opponents are the British Police; the Police don't have a regular ground so the game will be played at Stanningley Rangers ground in Leeds.
Mayfield have had two outings in recent weeks, one against Hornets and a club trial game to enable Matt Calland and Sam Butterworth to finalise their squad for the coming season.
Joe Qanuici and Paul Brearley are both missing, although Qanuici may face a late fitness test before a final decision is made.
The Police are an unknown quantity to most, but not all, of the Mayfield side and will be going all out to cause an upset by beating the Rochdale side.
There will be a coach leaving the club at 12.15, kick off is 2.30pm.
