Mayfield’s magnificent 7s

Mayfield Rugby League’s Under 7s team took the short journey across the M62 to face Oldham side Waterhead.
The Mustangs came away smiling in the sunshine after scoring some quality tries and putting forward a tough defence.
Well-supported by Jamie Howe, Vinny Wainwright and the outstanding debutants Jamie Burkea and Billy Dickinson, tries came from Bradley Schofield, Ben Metcalfe, Ben Wilkinson and Henry Crichton-Allen.
Henry’s try was a classic, with straight running and good footwork whilst Bradley and Ben Metcalfe were non-stop in defence and Jamie Burke displayed textbook leg tackles to bring down bigger opponents time and time again.
