Rugby Union: Littleborough U9s

Date published: 16 October 2018

Littleborough U9s lit up a wet and miserable Rakewood as they went up against Burnley U9s.

The game was played in great spirits considering the conditions with plenty of tries to warm those hardy supporters. Strong running with ball in hand and great support play gave Littleborough the platform of which to express themselves from, which was very pleasing from a coach’s perspective.

Special mentions this week go to Declan Lever for his efforts in defence and his sportsmanship in playing for Burnley.

Lewis Bracegirdle was chosen as man of the match by the visiting coach for his big bulldozing runs which led to two tries.

Lewis wasn't the only player to score twice as Jack Ashworth, Lewis Wales and Aden Kolbuck all helped themselves to a brace.

Dexter Macro-smith, Ollie Fletcher and Matthew Makinson all maintained their scoring form with a try a piece.
