Rugby Union: Old Crossleyans - Littleborough U15 girls

Date published: 04 October 2018

Making the trip over the Pennines, Littleborough U15 girls defeated by a well drilled Old Crossleyans side.

Littleborough were caught napping in concentration and communication which lead to an Old Crossleyans try almost instantly, and they kept coming.

Littleborough hadn't woken up and this showed by the lack of width in the defensive lines, which Old Crossleyans took advantage of.

However, Amy Perren blasted through a gap into space to score for Littleoborugh and quickly made it a brace with another try.

An unfortunate injury saw Littleborough pack leader Fitzgerald leave the field in the second half, with the role taken on by Tilly Robinson-Burgess.

Things went from bad to worse for Littleborough as Courtney Mills went off injured; scrum half Kiera Boardman being handed the captains arrmband

The final score looked bad for Littleborough but it was not for the want of effort and persistence. Kirsty Bella and Amy Perren were singled out for praise on a difficult afternoon for the Under 15 girls.
