Cricket: Heywood Cricket Club teams for the weekend

Date published: 02 August 2018

Every match until the end of the season assumes extra importance for Heywood’s First XI as they bid to preserve their Greater Manchester Premier League status.

Heywood are third from bottom of the table with just seven games left, and the latest on Saturday sees a trip to Worsley area club Roe Green – who are just five points above them.

The same day sees a match of significance for the Second XI at home to Royton. The Heywood side have lost their last two games and have slipped to third place in Division Four East.

The Crimble clash against the Oldham area visitors is a chance to regain winning ways.

The Third XI have a home game on Sunday against Worsley.
