Cricket: Heywood Cricket Club Teams for Thursday and weekend

Date published: 21 June 2018

Heywood’s senior side face the first of a three-game spell with a rare outing on a Thursday.

The Heywood Monkeys travel to take on Shaw Spartanson Thursday (21 June) in the fourth match of the Marstons T20 Cup.

They badly need a victory to keep their slim quarter-final qualification hopes alive after losing two of their first three games in the Group.

Saturday sees a home clash with Denton West, who have yet to pick up a point in the Greater Manchester Premier League this season.

Then Sunday brings a trip to Bolton area side Bradshaw in the area final of the Royal London National Club Championship, with Heywood again naming a severely weakened side.

Overseas amateurs Riley Paterson and Tom McQuinn are not eligible to play under the rules of the competition, and other first team regulars are unavailable.

In between, the Second XI hope to get back to winning ways after losing their first Division Four East game of the campaign last weekend. They travel to Denton on Saturday.
