Cricket: Heywood Cricket Club teams for the weekend

Date published: 08 June 2018

Five games over the coming weekend results in a hectic schedule for Heywood Cricket Club players.

The first team have a triple assignment, starting on Friday night with a home Marstons T20 Cup clash against Royton Renegades, their third match in the Group.

Saturday brings a trip to Edgworth in the Greater Manchester Premier League, and on Sunday Delph come to Crimble for a third round clash in the Royal London National Club championship.

The senior side’s resources are certainly stretched to the limit, particularly for the national game, so the return of Andy Kerr (from honeymoon) on Saturday and Sunday plus Andy Dawson (from holiday) on Sunday are welcome.

The second team hope to stretch their unbeaten run on at home to Heyside on Saturday in Division Four East of the Greater Manchester League.

The third team face a Sunday outing at Winton.
