Football: Dale face a tough trip to Rotherham

Date published: 09 March 2018

Rochdale face a tough trip to take on an in form Rotherham United on Saturday.

Rotherham currently sit fourth in the League One table.

Dale manager Keith Hill said: “I have been encouraged with the performance levels for quite a while and that has got to continue. We have got to make sure that we are up for it at the weekend against Rotherham who are promotion contenders. They are an excellent team, an excellent football club and they are in a rich vein of form.

“They are up there in the table and there is still a possibility of them challenging for a top two berth with the amount of games that they have still got to play.”

Rotherham United manager Paul Warne has told his players that Rochdale are in a "false position" in League One; he believes that Dale’s current 23rd position in the table is not reflective of their true abilities, having watched their win over Walsall in midweek.

He said: “If you went and watched their game the other night and you didn't know the league table you would find it hard to believe that one is 10 places behind the other, or whatever the case maybe.”
