Rugby Union: Megan Dickinson and Georgia Turner at the Rugby Sevens Tournament in Paris

Date published: 11 October 2017

Megan Dickinson and Georgia Turner, two rising young starlets of Littleborough Rugby Club, produced a sparkling performance at a international rugby sevens tournament in Paris.

Megan, 17, and Georgia, 15, were selected to represent the county and country at the Tournoi Capitale in the French capital last week, after enjoying impressive seasons for both Littleborough and for Lancashire.

Georgia also had the honour of making her debut for the North of England.

Megan helped the Lancashire U18 with player of the match performances.

Georgia scored tries in the Parisian sunshine on what were highlights of the Lancashire U17s opening day of matches.

Day two was marred when Georgia sustained a serious knee injury and had to be taken to a local hospital. The Lancashire side never looked as menacing and missed the Littleborough U15s captain's quality.

Georgia was given the all clear to return home and will continue her recovery over the next few weeks.

Littleborough U18s captain Megan enjoyed better fortune with her impressive performances helping to steer her Lancashire side to a well-deserved trophy win.

Her individual performances won her the coaches player of the tournament and cemented a place in the upcoming Lancashire U18s squad with Georgia's older sister Olivia Turner amongst others.
