GMCL accepts applications to join the league in 2018

The Greater Manchester Cricket League (GMCL) has confirmed that it has accepted applications by Moorside CBC, Royton CC, Shaw CC, Monton & Weaste CC, Heyside CC, Greenfield CC and Glodwick CC to join the league in 2018.
A spokesperson for the GMCL said: "We look forward to the clubs enhancing our competition at Senior and Junior level from the start of the 2018 season.
"We remain disappointed that there has been no discussion with Pennine League officials, it is still our wish for discussions to be held to ensure a smooth transition for all clubs and league officials that wish to join us.
"Of course, there is still time for other clubs to decide what they wish to do in 2018 and for any club still considering options we welcome requests for members of our board to speak to your club committee.
"We can, at this time, reaffirm our commitment to the county board that we will welcome into the league any club that is left displaced or stranded by the movement of others."
