Football: £250 target activated after season ticket sales reach first major milestone
Date published: 21 April 2017
Rochdale Football Club has sold more than 886 season ticket deposits
Rochdale Football Club has sold more season tickets than it did in total during last year’s entire Special Promotion Period.
As a result, the Board of Directors have taken the decision to activate the campaign's first target, meaning the most an adult supporter will pay for his/her 2017/18 season ticket is £250.
Russ Green, Dale Chief Executive, said: “We’d like to thank everyone who has purchased a deposit so far.
“We launched this initiative with the aim of getting more people through the gates at the Crown Oil Arena, so to have already sold more than 886 season tickets after just four weeks is absolutely brilliant.
“Despite there being no guarantee of what the final payment might be, there has been a genuine interest from supporters to buy into the scheme, and that’s what has led to us making this decision. Fans have committed to us and we want to reward that faith with this commitment.
“Sales have obviously been very positive up until now and we hope this move will see the numbers continue to rise, which I've no doubt they will."
Supporters have the opportunity to purchase a 2017/18 season ticket for potentially only £110.
The £110 offer is based on achieving 4,000 season ticket sales and the final price will depend on the number of season ticket deposits sold:
Over 2,500 season ticket sales - £200
Over 3,000 season ticket sales - £150
Over 4,000 season ticket sales - £110
