Rugby Union: Littleborough RUFC 37 - 19 Hawcoat Park RUFC

Eager to conclude this season with positive results, Littleborough beat Hawcoat Park despite falling behind early on.

After only five minutes Hawcoat crossed the line for their first converted try.

Littleborough got off the mark when a well measured kick to Liam Lloyd by Andy Bairstow saw him put in in a good wingers run before passing to support player Chris Park, who crossed the line for Littleborough’s opening try. Cconverted by Alex West.

Having defended their line for some time, Littleborough's a Bairstow kick was well gathered by Jack Whittles, his run down field culminated in a try by Murphy Holt.

Another good attacking run from Littleborough’s fullback Chris Park led to Littleborough's third try. After one dummy, he passed to Alex West to score. Converted by Bairstow.

Half time: Littleborough RUFC 19 - 7 Hawcoat Park RUFC

Start of second half again saw Hawcoat on the front foot and they closed the points gap with an early try.

Littleborough’s Cosmin Rosu was sin-binned for 10minutes.

A penalty award to Littleborough was converted by West.

A great try saving tackle by Nathan Coop kept Hawthorn out  when they looked to be through.

Hawthorn did go on to score a further converted try to make the score just three points difference in favour of Littleborough.

Matthew Goldthorpe with a further try for Littleborough, before Boro took total command in the final stages as winger David Kearns ran in two further tries.

The ‘man-of-the-match’ award went to Andy Bairstow.
