Scott Hogan leaves Dale for Brentford

Date published: 21 July 2014

Scott Hogan has today completed a move to Brentford, signing a three-year-deal.

The 22-year-old, who passed a medical over the weekend, joins the Championship side for an undisclosed fee.

He leaves the club 14 months after returning to Spotland.

The striker had come through Dale’s youth system, before moving into non-league at the end of his scholarship, where he remained on Keith Hill’s radar. Hill brought Hogan back to the club last summer.

Hogan burst onto the League Two scene last season, scoring 19 goals in all competitions, including two hat-tricks, earning himself a Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award and a League Two Player of the Year nomination.

A spokesperson for the club said: "We would like to place on record our thanks to Scott for his hard-work, endeavour and commitment during our push for promotion. We wish him the very best of luck for the future."
