Registration open for 2016 Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and fun run

Date published: 01 December 2015

Registration for next year’s Rochdale Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run is now open.

The race routes have been redesigned to attract more runners and take in some of the borough’s best open spaces.

The event, which is expected to feature more than 2,000 runners, will be staged on Sunday 25 September 2016 and all races will again start and finish by Rochdale Town Hall.

Councillor Janet Emsley, Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing, said: “We have fabulous new routes for 2016 incorporating some of the most stunning countryside in the region as we aim to establish this event as one of the premier runs in the North West.

"The race attracts runners from across Greater Manchester, Yorkshire, Cheshire and beyond as well as many from the borough with spectators coming out in their hundreds to line many parts of the route.”
