Middleton Oktoberfest 2015

Date published: 05 October 2015

Oktoberfest 2015 came to Middleton on Sunday (4 October) with over 1,700 people making their way to Middleton Gardens for the event.

The event involved food and drink vendors including The Gourmet Peddlers, Woodstock Pizza and a new Bratwurst Stall. Microbreweries were also on hand to provide beer, wine and spirits for those in attendance.

Local brewer Hornbeam served real ale and internet beer retailer brewd.com also served up drinks for attendees, with both providers selling out.

The Middleton Town Centre Management (MTCM) bar also sold a record amount of beer for the event.

Entertainment throughout the day was provided by bands Blank Cheque, Driving Force and Daz Mac and The Nutcase.

Adam Torevell, from Middleton Town Centre Management, said: “All three bands were great and we had a huge amount of positive feedback from the attendees.

"We had a new food vendor who are local, they are The Gourmet Peddlers, they were well received and we have already started to plan for next year's event.

"We have also had immediate feedback from a few businesses open on the day in the gardens who report an uplift on year-on-year trade of at least 20%.

“The event is now a permanent fixture in Middleton Town Centre Management's annual events calendar. It really helps to improve the image of Middleton Town Centre in its quest to become a place that people want to work, shop, live and have fun.”

The next event to be organised by Middleton Town Centre Management is the Halloween Heritage Trail on Friday 30 October.
