Charlene, 28, has battled life-threatening eating disorder bulimia nervosa for 13 years at her home in Middleton, and launched an online campaign to pay for private treatment after doctors told her she might not reach her 30th birthday.

The dancer and actress has now reached her £7,000 target and will soon fly to Mauritius to take up a place for intensive specialist treatment.

Charlene said: “I just want to say again, thank you to everyone, so much. The support I’ve been given. I’m full of tears constantly — not all bad. I will keep fighting this awful illness, thank you so very much.”
