Students hold rave… to help them exercise

Date published: 27 June 2015

Students at Hopwood Hall College took part in an unusual exercise class recently – ravercise.

Ravercise is a new trend in keeping fit, which involves fun filled dance classes accompanied by energetic music. Keen to try it out, a group of students, who have various disabilities, gathered at the College to get started.

The event, which was organised in partnership with Life4Life, saw dance instructor Amy Allport, put the students through their paces.

The session included learning a dance routine that involved lots of ‘raving’.

Farah Rehman, Hopwood Hall College’s Sports Maker, commented: “Ravercise turned out to be a really popular event! It’s a great way of getting fit while having lots of fun in the process and we’ll definitely look to organise more classes so more students can get involved.”

The College now plans to organise more Ravercise classes next year.
