Familiar festival face Aazam Ahmad will be appearing at Rochdale Feel Good Festival
Award-winning chef Aazam Ahmad will return to Rochdale Feel Good Festival this summer. The ever popular BBC Fusion Chef, appearing for a record eighth year at the event will be cooking in the Celebrity Kitchen on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September.
Over the past 16 years, Indian food guru Aazam has appeared on television and radio and is a favourite at top food shows across the world, including the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham here in the UK.
Born and bred in Manchester, Aazam has a passion for his city and world cuisine; recently arriving home from the Far East, including Mainland China and Hong Kong, where he has been cooking regional delicacies with the local people. With his generosity of spirit and big heart, he is actively involved in charity work both locally and nationally.
His English and Asian cooking skills always prove popular in Rochdale, and Aazam said he loves coming back to the town: “I love the community spirit in the town and I love the Feel Good Festival. It’s always a very fun weekend and I can’t wait to come back.”
Before his appearance at the festival, Aazam will be taking his culinary expertise to a local school and hosting a public cooking demonstration in the borough.
Aazam will be joined at the festival on the Saturday by the previously announced chefs Rachel Khoo and Kevin Woodford. More chefs will be announced soon, together with music acts on a line up which already includes The South, Toploader and Kirsty Almeida.
Rochdale Feel Good Festival returns on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 September.
The summer festival is funded by Rochdale Borough Council together with sponsorship from local businesses.
