Children risk death in new 'Sleeper' craze
Date published: 16 April 2015
Children are risking death from a new 'Sleeper' craze which sees children suffocating each other until they lose consciousness.
Greater Manchester Police said a child was in hospital after falling victim to the potentially fatal "Sleeper" prank.
The force is alerting parents to the "extremely dangerous" practice.
Officers said it involves children covering the mouths and noses of younger children until they pass out.
"Please advise every child you know and warn them of the dangers," police said. "This could easily lead to unconsciousness or even death."
