Lord Tariq Ahmad visits community groups and projects in Rochdale
Lord Tariq Ahmad, the UK Government Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, paid a visit to Rochdale recently and visited the Multi Cultural Arts and Media Centre, Newbold Community Partnership and CommuniTea.
Lord Ahmad made the visit as part of the Near Neighbours Project organised by Carlo Schröder, the Near Neighbours Project Coordinator.
Lord Ahmad said: “I am intrigued how arts and media is being used to work with the communities.”
Although the visit was short, it helped to provide the Minister with information on the needs and activities delivered by the various organisations.
