Updates from 22 August to 28 August

Steven Colin Bowker (05/02/93) has been jailed for 15 months at Minshull Street Crown Court for ramming a police car after being pursued when police officers saw him driving a stolen vehicle.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol this week, two of those have already been charged and are on bail awaiting their court hearing, a third is on bail pending further enquiries.

A 28-year-old male was charged for driving dangerously and driving whilst disqualified, he was remanded in police custody and taken to court the following day.

Trefoil Way – 19 August – 04:10 - unknown offender approaches front of property attempts to open porch, is unsuccessful. Offender goes to rear of garden using side gate, moves rubbish bins to one side and forces rear garage window by unknown means before removing items from garage. Offender is alerted by house alarm, makes good escape in unknown direction.

Whitelees Road – 20 August 21:00 – 21 August – 18:20 - unknown offender/s approach from street at front to front of property and using unknown implement force portion of beading away from glass in door exposing edge of glass in attempt to gain entry. Entry not gained and offender/s make off in unknown direction.

Queensway – 24 August 23:20 - at time stated unknown offender enters rear yard of garden and enter property via unlocked rear door; is confronted by householder in kitchen. Offender exits as per entry and out of the rear wooden gate into alleyway making good escape.

David Lewis Close – 19:00 06 August – 10:24 22 August - unknown offender/s approach the property via the side gate which was closed but not locked. Using an unknown implement the offender/s force the bottom panel of the rear ground floor upvc door and gain entry to the kitchen. Offender/s conduct a tidy search of the whole premises stealing items from within. Offender/s exit as per entry and replace the panel in the rear door. Offender/s then make off in an unknown direction.

Delamere Road – 07:30 23 August – 20:00 25 August - unknown offender(s) approach rear of address from an unknown direction. Offender(s) open ground floor kitchen window which had been left slightly ajar gaining entry into the address. Off(s) conduct an untidy search of all rooms in the house. Nothing believed stolen at this stage. Offender(s) exit as per entry point making off unseen.

Palatine Street – 11:30 23 August – 00:15 24 Aug - unknown offenders approach rear of property by climbing over the rear fence. Offenders use unknown item to smash ground floor kitchen window and gain entry. Offenders conduct an untidy search of all rooms. Offenders steal items and exit by the kitchen door. Make off in an unknown direction unseen .

Turf Hill Road – 13:22 25 August - four offenders approach premises from unknown direction. Knock on front door and following no reply being received walk across driveway to the rear of the house. Use unknown implement to prise open the rear upvc door causing damage. Enter premises where they are disturbed by the householder. All offenders exit as entry and walk off from the scene in the direction of Broad Lane.

Waithlands Road – 19:00 25 August – 00:35 26 August - unknown offenders approach property from side driveway and use unknown implement or object to smash rear ground floor upvc window reach through and open window and enter into kitchen area. Offenders then conduct untidy search of whole property stealing items from within before exiting via the entry point and making off in unknown direction.
