Rochdale Hornets fan Millie Harris has held a book sale to raise money for Joining Jack – a charity that has been embraced by the world of Rugby League.
Mark Harris, Millie’s dad is heavily involved with local level rugby clubs and is a sponsor of Rochdale Hornets Ladies team and Millie’s sister Beth plays for the Hornets ladies team.
Joining Jack is a charity set up by Andrew and Alex Johnson for their son Jack who suffers from an incurable disease called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DM).
As well as being supported by Millie and her family, Joining Jack is supported by a number of rugby league players, sports stars and celebrities.
DMD currently has no known cure but with constant focus in the media through everyone from celebrities to kind-hearted individuals like Millie doing their bit there may be a cure found in the future.
