Pretty Pink Couture wins Rochdale Borough Independent Trader 2014

Date published: 24 July 2014

Pretty Pink Couture has won the Rochdale Borough Independent Trader 2014 award.

Gail Delaney, from Pretty Pink Couture in Rochdale, said: “We’re ecstatic about winning the award. It’s a fantastic achievement for us as the business has only been going for a year.”

Pretty Pink Couture specialises in children’s clothing. They provide unique, stylish and bespoke outfits ‘to make your child feel like the princess she truly is.’

Businesses could nominate themselves or members of the public could submit their nominations for the award.

“We cheekily nominated ourselves to push the business. It was so fantastic to see our customers get behind the business and lead us to winning,” Gail added.

Pretty Pink Couture is now in the running to become ‘Independent of the Year’ in the UK National Independent Traders finals.

Gail said: “Not only would it be fantastic for Pretty Pink to win the Independent of the Year award, but it would also be good for Rochdale.”

“Our products are made in Britain, and I think it is very important to promote that especially coming from areas such as Rochdale and Middleton.”

The competition ends on 30 July and people can support Pretty Pink Couture by liking, sharing and commenting on their image on Facebook.

“We’re currently second in the race to win, so it would be great if the people of Rochdale could get behind this local business and support us,” Gail added.
