Swarm of bees at the Regal Moon
A swarm of bees decided to make the back of the Regal Moon pub their home yesterday (Thursday 17 July).
It is currently not clear where the bees came from but they arrived yesterday to the surprise of staff at the pub.
Manager Steve said: “A swarm of bees came yesterday at the back of the pub. After we noticed we contacted a nature place to find out what to do.”
A bee keeper has been to the pub to set up a temporary hive for the bees. This will be taken away tonight (Friday 18 July) and taken somewhere for the bees to be let free to colonise.
Steve added: “They aren’t in a customer area or getting to anyone but bees are endangered now so we wanted to make sure they were cleared properly.”
