Residents celebrate as they came to the end of a successful 10 week ESOL class
Members of Freehold Community Group and residents celebrated as they came to the end of a successful 10 week English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) class.
Freehold Community Group said they felt it was important to provide new ESOL sessions as it will enable residents to learn basic English which will help them to secure employment and further training opportunities.
All the attendees were given an achievement award and had a small party to celebrate their progress.
A spokesperson said: "Nazia Kauser, the ESOL teacher, made the lessons fun as well as interactive. From the survey outcomes the residents found the class to be extremely helpful and are hoping for more classes to be run soon."
One resident said: “I have learnt a lot from the ESOL classes and the teacher was very nice, it made it easier for me to learn English and make friends at the same time.”
Freehold Community Group is hoping to run more sessions soon.
The 10 week class was funded by Our Choice RBH.
