Body found in canal

The body found in a canal in Salford this morning is that of missing 22-year-old Christopher Brahney, police have confirmed.
Shortly before 9.35am this morning, Monday, 9 July 2012, police received a report of a body in the Manchester Ship Canal, near to Media City, Salford Quays.
Christopher was last seen by friends at about 11.30pm on Friday 29 June 2012, when he was at the Stone Roses concert in Heaton Park, Manchester.
A post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow.
