Dog walk raises vital cash for hospice

A sponsored dog walk has raised around £1,000 for Springhill Hospice.

Dog lovers headed out with their pets on Saturday morning (4 June) for a three mile walk to raise money for the hospice on Broad Lane.

This year was the first time the ‘Woofs and Wellies’ event has been held in Rochdale but its success means organisers are keen to make it a permanent addition to the fundraising calendar.

Organiser Dean Connaughton, Fundraiser for Springhill Hospice, said: “It went really well, we will definitely do it again.”
