Man charged with attempted murder after collision in Middleton last year

A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a serious collision in Middleton last year.
Ijaz Ahmed, 50, has been charged with the offence after a collision on Bowness Road between a blue Toyota Yaris and a cyclist, shortly before 7am on Friday 10 December.

It’s understood the cyclist - a man in his 30s - was then assaulted by the driver of the Yaris with a weapon before being taken to hospital in a serious condition.
