Man arrested following car theft in Rochdale

A 21-year-old man was arrested yesterday morning (Wednesday 12 May 2021) on suspicion of the theft of a motor vehicle.

The man was arrested after being found in possession of a car key belonging to a vehicle that had been reported as stolen.

Following an investigation by the Rochdale Neighbourhood Task Force, as part of 'Operation Barracuda' which is an investigation into vehicle thefts, the man was located by officers in the Whitworth area.

Police would like to thank members of the public for their support with providing information.
