Date published: 01 April 2021

The new Greggs store on Riverside Walk, Rochdale, has opened today, Thursday 1 April.

The new shop on Riverside Walk offers a whole range of Greggs favourites, including sandwiches, savouries, sweet treats and vegan-friendly products.

Twelve new jobs have been created with the opening of the new store, which is offering take away and Click and Collect.

Speaking before the opening, Lisa Hodkinson, shop manager at Rochdale Riverside Greggs said: “We cannot wait to open our doors and welcome customers from the local community. We are pleased to offer customers a range of tasty items to takeaway or via Click and Collect.”

Roisin Currie, retail and people director for Greggs, said: “We’re delighted to be able to invest in Rochdale, bringing new jobs to the area and providing both new and existing customers with a modern and convenient new shop.”

The opening comes as Greggs announced it would be opening 100 new shops across the UK in 2021.

This is the second Greggs store in the Rochdale town centre area, adding to the existing one next to the Rochdale Exchange.

The shop opening times are 7am – 5pm Monday – Saturday; and 8am – 4pm on Sunday.
