Wardle Scarecrow Festival returns for 2020

Date published: 23 September 2020

Scarecrows will be out in force across Wardle village over the weekend of 10 - 11 October, as Wardle Scarecrow Festival returns.

Once all entries are in, a map of the scarecrows’ locations will be created. After picking up your map from Craft Cottage on East Street, walk around the village and see how many you can spot. You can also make a day of it, and stop off at The Globe, Charlies Coffee & Cakes, or the Hare and Hounds for a drink or bite to eat along the way.

If you live in Wardle and want to enter your own scarecrow (before 5 October), please visit the website on the link below and click ‘Enter a Scarecrow’ – it’s free!

There will be a small prize for the winning entry, and you will be able to vote for your favourite on Facebook.
