Reason: to repair a sewer in the carriageway.
Expected start and finish: 9am, Wednesday 4 September - 9am, Wednesday 25 September 2019 or until the work is completed, whichever comes sooner.
Restriction and location: temporary closure of Ann Street, from its junction with Dowling Street for a distance of 49 metres in a southerly direction.
Alternative route: the alternative route for vehicles is Dowling Street and Milkstone Road.

Reason: to hold the Williams BMW Half Marathon, 10K and Fun Run 2019.
Expected start and finish:
The temporary prohibition of vehicles will be operative on:

• The Esplanade, including the entire car parking area in front of the town hall, from 6am-6pm on Sunday 6 October 2019.
• St Albans Street, Park Street, Broadfield Stile, Drake Street, Mere Street, William Street, Tweedale Street, Lower Tweedale Street, Milkstone Road, Miall Street and Durham Street, from 10am-3pm on Sunday 6 October 2019.
• Oldham Road, from 10.30am-12noon on Sunday 6 October 2019.
• Hollingworth Road, Rakewood Road and Lake Bank, from 11am-1pm on Sunday 6 October 2019.   
• The temporary prohibition of pedestrians will be operative from 10am-3pm on Sunday 6 October 2019.
• The temporary introduction and suspension of all one-way working will be operative from 10am-3pm on Sunday 6 October 2019.
• The temporary prohibition of waiting will be operative from 8pm, Saturday 5 October 2019-6pm, Sunday 6 October 2019.

• The Esplanade, from its junction with Manchester Road, St Marys Gate and Dane Street to its junction with Newgate, including the entire enclosed car parking area in front of the town hall.
• St Albans Street, for its entire length.
• Park Street, from its junction with St Albans Street to its junction with Broadfield Street.
• Broadfield Stile, for its entire length.
• Drake Street, from its junction with Castlemere Street to its junction with Suffolk Street.
• Mere Street, from its junction with Drake Street to its junction with Tweedale Street.

• The Esplanade, the south side, from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 100 metres in an easterly direction. 

Temporarily introduce one-way working along:

• Vicars Drive, from its junction with St Albans Street for the remainder of its length in  a northerly direction. Vehicles will not be permitted to travel along Vicars Drive in a southerly direction between Sparrow Hill and Drake Street.
• Dowling Street, from its junction with Milkstone Road to its junction with Ann Street in an easterly direction. Vehicles will not be permitted to travel in a westerly direction between Ann Street and Milkstone Road.
• Ann Street, from its junction with Lower Tweedale Street to its junction with Milk Street in a northerly direction. Vehicles will not be permitted to travel in a southerly direction between Milk Street and Lower Tweedale Street. 
• Temporary suspension of one-way working along Ann Street, from its junction with Dowling Street to its junction with Lower Tweedale Street in a southerly direction.
• Temporary suspension of one-way working along Milkstone Road, from its junction with William Street to its junction with Devon Street in a southerly direction.
• Temporarily prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along the Esplanade, both sides from its junction with Vicars Gate to its junction with Newgate, including the entire enclosed car parking area in front of the town hall.

Reason: to allow access to a housing development site.
Expected start and finish: 8am, Monday 16 July 2018 - 6pm, Wednesday 15 January 2020.
Restriction and location: temporary cycle lane closure:

• On the east side of Hollin Lane from a point 125 metres north of its junction with Hazelhurst Drive for a distance of 56 metres in a northerly direction.
• From a point 245 metres north of its junction with Hazelhurst Drive for a distance of 52 metres in a northerly direction.

Alternative route: cyclists will still be able to travel down these road using the main areas of the road, not the cycle lanes.

Reason: to construct the new railway station access.
Expected start and finish: 8am, Wednesday 7 August 2019 - Tuesday 4 February 2020.
Restriction and location:

• Prohibition of pedestrians from proceeding along the southerly footway of Oldham Road, from a point 90 metres west of its junction with Mills Hill Road for a distance of 80 metres in a westerly direction.
• Prohibition of waiting on the northerly side of Oldham Road, from a point 30 metres west of its junction with Mills Hill Road for a distance of 160 metres in a westerly direction.
