Councillor Faisal Rana with the repaired path
A neglected and dangerous footpath in the Spotland and Falinge ward of Rochdale has been repaired and made safe for all.
The path linking Bridgefold Road to Falkland Avenue was repaired at the beginning of last week (week of 9 September) after Councillor Faisal Rana mentioned how it was in need of improvements.
Trip hazards were removed, and the pathway resurfaced.
Councillor Rana said: “Residents were very concerned about the state of this walkway as this could be a potential health and safety issue for users. People were still using this to walk from the top of Falkland Avenue to Bridgefold Road during the rain raining.
“I am very pleased and thankful to council staff who have done a great job of turning this around.”
