Pilsworth Road closed as motorcyclist receives potentially life-changing injuries after collision

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after a collision in Heywood on Friday morning (24 May).

Police and the fire service were called to the collision on Pilsworth Road, near the distribution park, between a white Honda motorbike and a silver Toyota at 6.15am this morning.

Access to Heywood Distribution Park has been blocked by police, and a closure is in place between Hareshill Road and Moss Hall Road.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called to the scene at 6.15am to a collision between a silver Toyota and a white Honda motorbike.

“The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries, possibly life-changing.”
