Children donate Christmas items for families in need of help

Date published: 12 December 2018

In line with St. James' CofE Primary School Christian ethos, there is a Foodbank collection point for children to donate items for families in need of help.

Rob Andrew, Headteacher, St.James' CofE Primary School  said: “We encourage all children to donate one item each week, with the intent of supporting our teaching that 'if we all do a little, we can achieve a lot'.

“This weekly collection has been running for the last two years.

“We are proud of our weekly contributions, as are Foodbank.

“This week we asked for donations to be Christmas orientated to support families over the festive period.

“Our children and families responded with true Christian spirit and have collected a wealth of goodies to support Rochdale's most needy families.”
